    Description

    The `uli`uli or Feathered Gourd Rattle is a percussion instrument used by both male and female dancers. This design, with a yellow feathered center with surrounding red feathers is popular with professional Hawaiian Hula dancers. The maracus part is made of La'amea fruit. This instrument was handmade by an expert crafts person in Hawaii during the early 1960s.
    Overall height is about 10 inches.
    Gourd diameter is about 3.5 inches.
    Width of top of feathers is about 8 inches.
