    vintage used VA Virginia Colonial FIFE FLUTE PLAYER license plate 544ABZ
    From the special series of VA issued plates, the top of the plate is VIRGINIA in blue capitals. To the right is a flute player dressed in a Colonial uniform.
    An online article on these plates: "The fifer on the license plate is wearing the uniform for musicians that's prescribed in the Continental Army's Regulations of 1779 - a red coat with blue facings. The regulations required musicians to wear the reverse colors of the infantry."
