    These beautiful feather leis were created on Maui using traditional Hawaiian methods. The Lei Kamoe is made with the feathers laid flat on top of each other, creating a smooth,
    velvety texture. A Hawaiian feather lei is a treasured work of art and will display beautifully in a frame, on a hat, or gracing your head or neck.
    These lovely leis crafted of dyed goose feathers in green or aqua blue are finished with a matching color satin ribbon.
    Early Hawaiians believed that birds had symbolic spiritual power and their feathers carried magical properties, including keen eyesight, endurance and speed.
    They are meant to symbolize welcome, protection, and mercy–the attributes of Hilaka, the volcano god Pele’s younger sister.
